We have many of these
From Mallery to the Beach
From West to the East
Our island abounds
With nature’s sights and sounds
And I couldn’t resist
Enjoying this sweet bliss
Whether day or dark
Come find me in this pretty park
On our great island
there could never be
a greater view
than from a tree!
From a tall pine
I could see without aid
the majestic live oaks
and their billowing shade.
Or I could cuddle up
in some crepe myrtle leaves.
Or enjoy the fragrance
of a magnolia tree.
But I chose none of them
though they are tranquil and calm.
No – for me, there is nothing
so wonderful as a palm.
Not to high and not to low.
Right in the middle is what I chose.
